Eyewear Trends Coming to Vegas at International Vision Expo

Let’s talk eyewear fashion! Glasses are definitely that one accessory you should splurge on. Even if you don’t wear glasses on a daily basis like me, I’m sure you have a pair or even a few of sunnies you love. They can complete your daily look and give you that sass!

International Vision Expo is coming to Vegas to bring us the hottest trends in eyewear for Fall/Winter 2016 as well as a preview for Spring/Summer 2017.

Here’s what’s in for fall:

  • Classic pieces and simple frames in amber hues, steel grays, denim blues and soft khakis
  • Statement silhouettes with atypical color – flashy lenses, organic and futuristic shapes, glittery inlays and more
  • Romantic pieces with a modern edge – sparkly prints, shimmery gold finishes, glitzy gemstones and more
  • Bold colors, shapes and patterns – mirrored lenses in rainbow colors rom sassy reds to sour greens and anything in between

If you want to get your hands on these upcoming trends as well as Spring/Summer 2017 styles, stop by International Vision Expo September 15-17 at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas. Make sure to check out my favorites – Etro x Marchon. I have always been obsessed with tortoise shell frames and love the shape of these frames.

Enjoy!

Stepping Into Fall With No Nonsense

Labor Day marks the end of summer although we are still enjoying triple-digit temperatures here in the desert. It’s a great time to start prepping for fall and snag some items on sale this weekend.

I personally like versatile pieces I can wear now while it’s still warm, yet pair with the necessary accessories during cooler weather. This No Nonsense Soft Twill Skimmer legging is a perfect example. I love the bright color – easily wearable during summer, while it’s soft and comfy and great for fall too. No Nonsense has an awesome variety of tights and leggings, which are must-haves for fall. Better yet, they are offering 30% off everything this Labor Day Weekend. Did I mention free shipping too? So, you can go ahead and add the missing pieces to your closet.

For this outfit, I paired the legging with Vince Camuto wedges and an old plain shirt. Adding a piece of jewelry definitely makes the outfit dressier. For fall, I would style it with a pair of nice booties and a leather jacket. Again, the possible combinations are endless.

Happy Labor Day Weekend!

Parrot On My Shoulder

A good pair of denim is a staple to any closet. We all know which ones fit us right and which ones make us look more flattering (hopefully). Personally, I like having options – skinny, flare, fringe, mom jeans etc. I have a couple go-to brands that I can go on and on about, but not this time.

I wanted to share an outfit featuring one of my favorite Paige high-wasted skinny jeans that you can dress up and wear on a night out or even to a fun event. You can’t go wrong with a white top – it would match any color and give you that clean cut look. Instead of jewelry, I opted for this cute acrylic clutch made by Milanblocks. The design reminded me of Charlotte Olympia, besides it was only a tiny fraction of her price point.

How do you like to style your jeans on a night out?

Black And White feat. No Nonsense

Hello, August! I’m bringing back No Nonsense to my closet. Leggings are often seen as one of the basics in your wardrobe, but here I wanted to show you how you can make them the focus of your outfit. These cute capri leggings from No Nonsense are super soft and comfy, and better yet you can get them here for less than $15. A patterned pair like this one has lots of character and needs minimal styling. If you’re not into wearing slacks at work, these capris are a great alternative you can wear during any season. The black and white pattern makes it easier to wear with any color you like. Here are two looks I hope you enjoy – edgy (for the weekend) and clean-cut (for the week days).

Office Chic

If you work in a traditional office with a conservative dress code, keep reading.

When you are into fashion and love a trendy look, it could be challenging to pull it off at the office. However, all you need to do is get a little creative. There are many work-appropriate outfits out there that will still reveal your true fashionista self! Here is a perfect example featuring an Asos skirt, currently on sale for less than $25. The print is a little daring, but the style is clean-cut and allows for so many combinations.

Asos has been one of my favorite sites when it comes to looking for office-friendly, yet modern looks. Make sure to check out the pencil skirt section for more fun ideas. Enjoy!
