When In Doubt…

When in doubt, go with red! I always hear that about lipstick, but why not about an outfit?

I personally am not a huge fan of red although there is something about the color that makes you feel more confident and sexy. I recently found this bell-sleeved shirt at Nordstrom Rack, which is less than $30. At first, I thought it was a little pretentious but now I realize that it’s actually quite wearable. You can style any similar top like this with white pants, skinny jeans, pencil skirt or even over a bodycon dress. I guarantee you will love all of these looks.

Here, I am wearing these Res jeans I got at Nasty Gal last year. They are still available here for only $53 and they fit great. Finally, I am relying on my vintage Ted Baker bag to complete the outfit and voila!

Embroidery – Another Trend Making a Comeback

Embroidery is making a comeback this year. I remember I had my first embroidered jeans, also from Zara, when I was a teenager. I loved them so much, and I’m happy that the trend is back again! Next to velvet, suede and tulle this is another favorite of mine. From sweatshirts to blouses, denim and even footwear and handbags – embroidery will for sure make any outfit stand out and will give it that unique flare. Not to mention that an embroidered piece can be dressed up or down depending on your style or the occasion, of course. Today I’m featuring a semi-casual look you could wear to a Sunday brunch or even a date night. The jeans have lots of detail, so you don’t need to rely on shiny accessories to complete the entire look.

Fall’s Most Popular Fabrics

Suede and velvet are two really popular trends this fall. From head to toe, you can find these fabrics in dresses, jackets, handbags, shoes and even jewelry. I scored these Zara velvet booties only for about $45 in Mexico City. I love the style because they can give your outfit that polished look! The suede dress is from last fall’s Asos collection but it’s still quite on trend. What I love about it is that I can wear the dress by itself to a party or for an evening outing. For a daytime look I can pair it with just about any top. A turtleneck underneath makes a great fall or wintertime outfit as well.

I hope this gives you some inspiration for your fall styling. Enjoy!

Sporty and Stylish

If you know me, you have probably noticed that I’m not a sneakers girl, or a flats girl for that matter. These New Balance sneakers are definitely an exception to my shoe closet. They have been quite trendy for a while now, and I finally gave in. I must say that they are super comfortable and fit to perfection. Not to mention the diversity of styles and colors you can find out there. They are perfect for running errands on the weekend or even pairing them with a cute outfit like this.

Print & Patches

I love wearing plaid in the fall and winter months. I found these two pieces at Zara last week – they do not come together although it looks like it. The jacquard legging is very comfortable, and the detail and style of the shirt make the whole outfit fun. With patches and floral prints in this season, you can make any outfit feminine and unique. For example, this is a look you can easily rock from a busy day at the office to a happy hour or dinner date.

A Designer Look for Less Than $100

There is something about turtleneck tops that makes them very feminine. The best part is that you can either dress them up or down with the right accessories. I love the short-sleeve turtlenecks as they are a great piece for transitioning into fall. In addition, burgundy is a great color for the fall season. Luckily, the weather is still on the warm side in Vegas, so no capes and sweaters yet.

The highlight of this outfit as you can see is this cute vintage lady-like Ted Baker bag. I actually got it second-hand for only $40, and it is in a great condition. This was a true steal! Not to mention that I found these jeans on sale at H&M for only$10. All in all, this whole outfit including a designer bag, shoes and accessories (minus my watch) is less than $100!

Floral Print for Fall

Fall is slowly settling in in the desert. I decided to debut my new haircolor in this fun floral print dress I got last season from Parque in Green Valley Ranch, Las Vegas. Dark green and purples are must-haves for fall, especially paired with blush colors. The style of the dress is very feminine. That’s why I decided to wear it with these suede Donald Pliner lace-up pumps. In fact, they are currently on sale for more than 50% off here. This is a cute outfit you can easily wear from a day at the office to a happy hour or a date night.
