Black And White feat. No Nonsense

Hello, August! I’m bringing back No Nonsense to my closet. Leggings are often seen as one of the basics in your wardrobe, but here I wanted to show you how you can make them the focus of your outfit. These cute capri leggings from No Nonsense are super soft and comfy, and better yet you can get them here for less than $15. A patterned pair like this one has lots of character and needs minimal styling. If you’re not into wearing slacks at work, these capris are a great alternative you can wear during any season. The black and white pattern makes it easier to wear with any color you like. Here are two looks I hope you enjoy – edgy (for the weekend) and clean-cut (for the week days).

Office Chic

If you work in a traditional office with a conservative dress code, keep reading.

When you are into fashion and love a trendy look, it could be challenging to pull it off at the office. However, all you need to do is get a little creative. There are many work-appropriate outfits out there that will still reveal your true fashionista self! Here is a perfect example featuring an Asos skirt, currently on sale for less than $25. The print is a little daring, but the style is clean-cut and allows for so many combinations.

Asos has been one of my favorite sites when it comes to looking for office-friendly, yet modern looks. Make sure to check out the pencil skirt section for more fun ideas. Enjoy!

Guess To Impress

One of my all-time favorite brands is… well, can you Guess?

Guess Jeans carry everything you can think of from dresses to denim, shoes and even swimwear. I personally swear by their jeans. Finding a good pair to fit a curvy body can be challenging. I’ve worn them for years and still haven’t found a pair that fits better. I can say the same about the denim jumpsuits, dresses and the skirt below, which you can get on sale for under $40. Now that’s a deal!

I agree that most styles of Guess clothing fits a particular taste. However, if you’re looking for a unique outfit to wear to a club or better yet to a Vegas club, you are guaranteed to find it here. My secret to shopping at Guess is trying to snag anything on sale, especially when the store has an additional 40-50% off, which happens during major holidays.

If you are curious about the sizing or have any other questions, drop me a line.

The Non-Traditional Jumpsuit, feat. Anthropologie

One of my favorite summer trends is the jumpsuit. Although it can be daunting looking for the perfect one, once you find it – hold on to it!

Jumpsuits are fun – they come in various lengths, styles and colors. The downside is that usually they don’t fit the way we want them to. And trust me, with any outfit the fit is what matters the most. If you want a flattering and feminine look, these things come into play: fit, color and styling.

Today, I’m featuring a non-traditional all Anthropologie look. I personally love patterns although they are not for everyone. The fit of this particular jumpsuit is not the most flattering one, but again with the right accessories you can make it work. Enjoy!

Styling a Plain T-Shirt Dress

The simple t-shirt dress should be one of the summer staples in your closet. For example, this Forever 21 dress I’m featuring today is a great fit because it is a mini but not tight, which gives it classier and elegant look. Also, I love the ribbed detail and the color. Better yet, you can get it for less than $16 here. So far, so good. Although if you’re like me – I stay away from sneakers and casual looks – you might need to get creative and dress it up a bit.

For this look, I opted for a pair of Dolce Vita fringe sandals and this eco-friendly Raven + Lily leather fringe necklace. There is something about fringe this season that I just can’t get enough of! I hope you like it too.

Last but not least, I can’t pass up on mentioning my favorite local retailer Desert Daisy Jewelry. Owned and operated by the very talented Emma Roberts, every piece you find on the website is handmade, even custom made based on your tastes and needs. This hairstick is my go-to item on bad hair days. Not only I don’t have to worry about frizzy hair, but I get tons of compliments on the hairstick. It is pretty unique and can be styled in so many ways.

Summer 2016 is all about tassels, fringe and pom poms – what’s not to love! This outfit is another example of how I style non-expensive items with higher end pieces. These Forever 21 jeans cost less than $18. I love the clean look, and the fringe is so on trend. For this outfit, I am dressing them up with nude pumps and accents such as these Baublebar tassel earrings and handmade colorful clutch from Gypsy 05.

On another note, I finally got the platinum blonde hair color I’ve wanted for so long. It took almost a year to go this light. I’m looking forward to adding some fun pastels into it next time. Special thanks to my talented stylist Amanda, @hairbypinkie.
