Can we talk about fall trends? I know you would say summer is barely here, how can we focus on fall. I promise once you see what I mean, you will be saying fall can’t come soon enough!
This weekend I had the privilege to hang out at Donald J Pliner‘s boutique at The Forum Shops in Las Vegas and preview his fall shoe collection. From flats to heels, nudes to brights, there is a pair for every taste. Personally, I always go for the statement shoe – you can see my favorites from the new collection below. The colors scream fall yet the styles are so fun, especially the embellishments and fur accents.
Everything from the fall collection is available for pre-order only. If you can’t wait, there are plenty of summer styles to choose from. Better yet, take advantage of the 30% extra off of sales items. Don’t even get me started on the men’s styles – this deserves a post of its own.
And remember, “Life is too short to wear boring shoes.”
Since my family started a new chapter in Las Vegas less than two years ago, I’ve had several opportunities to meet world-renowned fashion designers. Today I had the pleasure to meet Donald J Pliner in person at his last appearance in store. Even on his way to retirement, Pliner wowed us with the quality and designs of the Spring 2016 Collection. Better yet, he shared that he finds inspiration from his personal life and surroundings. If you’re planning a trip to Sin City, this store is a must for the shoe lovers, both ladies and gents. You can see below the unique styles and materials of the shoes. If you want to stand out and make a statement, you won’t go wrong with a pair of DJP’s.
In Donald’s words, “A shoe needs to be fashionable, a shoe needs to be comfortable and a shoe needs to be special.”
Special thanks to Vegas stylist Christie Moeller for hosting another fashion event with a good cause – proceeds from purchases go to JDRF.
Also, thanks to The Forum Shops and Mesa Grill for taking our shoe shopping experience to the next level with yummy sips and bites.
I remember the days I was watching Sex and the City in Bulgaria and couldn’t wait until each new season came out. Actually, it wasn’t until I moved to the U.S. when I was finally able to really get the humor and have a much better idea of what the show was about. Of course, I never thought I would have the opportunity to attend a party with Sarah Jessica Parker, much less have a conversation with her.
Earlier this week, I was fortunate to attend the Zappos Couture VIP Party where the fashionista herself, SJP appeared dressed in a Giambattista Valli python suit. But that’s not what’s important! Zappos Couture set up a Pop-Up Boutique at The Shops at Crystals in Aria Las Vegas, one of the biggest go-to places in Las Vegas for all designer boutiques, where SJP launched her new collection – “The Strip.” The collections offers shoes, handbags and candles. From glitter to neons and metallics, the collection features strappy sandals and pumps in various textures. There are several classic looks, as well as quite bold ones for the ladies who would like to make a statement! My favorite is the purple shootie, which makes a great statement pair and can be more versatile than most shoes featured in the collection.
For those of you who would like to check it out, SJP’s Strip Collection will be sold exclusively on Zappos Couture.
