Eco-chic Styling With Raven + Lily

Summer brings new trends, brighter colors and lighter fabrics. Every season I like to add a few new staple pieces to my closet whether that means clothing or jewelry. I was recently introduced to Raven + Lily, an ethical fashion retailer using all organic and sustainable materials to produce unique artisan pieces. From clothing and jewelry to home goods, Raven + Lily offers modern handmade designs that preserve traditional cultures. Being a European myself, I always look for different accessories that will spruce up an outfit while making a statement. The Zia leather and metal fringe necklace below is a perfect example! It also comes in black, which is just as beautiful as the taupe color. You can browse more jewelry pieces from the brand here.

Which item would you love to style? Next on my list are some of these sustainable pillows.

Confidence From Day to Night

Have you noticed that there is something about dark clothes that makes you feel more elegant and sophisticated? This is perhaps because women are convinced that dark colors make us look thinner. Well, you’re not far from the truth. In fact, there are research findings stating that “wearing black clothing makes you appear more attractive, intelligent and confident.”

Research aside, dark outfits are perfect for long days – starting the day at the office and ending it at an evening event. In this case, you need to go for an outfit that isn’t too flashy for work, yet sleek for a party. The example below is an outfit I would wear on such occasion. Better yet, with Woolite Darks I don’t have to worry about my clothes or confidence ever fading!

To celebrate the confidence dark clothes give women, Woolite Darks partnered with Dress For Success to #ShareConfidence in a video campaign where a street style photographer captured women on the streets of New York donning dark clothes and exuding confidence. If you’d like to join the movement, please #ShareConfidence among each other one dark outfit at a time. After seeing the video myself, I feel not only confident but also empowered and inspired to pay it forward!
