A Relaxing Morning at g Aveda Salon and Spa

Let’s talk about skin care routine. All of us have different skin care issues, and we usually are afraid to address them until it’s too late. I have been fighting acne problems for years, and after getting regular facials for the last two years on a monthly basis my skin has gotten so much healthier.

Last weekend I spent a morning at g Aveda Salon and Spa in Downtown Summerlin. Their service offerings vary from hair to nails and facials and everything in between. I enjoyed a dual exfoliation facial that left my skin glowing for days after. If you have never got a facial and would love to try, you should give it a few treatments until you see best results.

Here are my tips on how to get ready for a facial:

  • Wear comfy clothes – you will be laying on a massage table for 45 – 90 minutes depending on your service, so make sure you feel comfortable.
  • Skip the make-up – your esthetician will wipe your face and clean every bit, so don’t waste any products prior to going in.
  • Turn off the sound on your cell phone – make sure you can relax without thinking about your incoming work emails or texts.
  • Relax and enjoy!

I am excited to share with you that I will be hosting an event at g Aveda Salon and Spa on Nov. 4, 6 – 9 p.m. and would love to see some of you there! Please, leave me a line if you’d like more details or if you have any questions. You can also find more info @g_aveda.

After quite a few rainfalls here in the desert, we are finally enjoying summer temperatures! I couldn’t wait to wear new summer outfits, vibrant colors and, of course bright lipsticks! This fabulous find below was gifted to me from Gypsy05, an LA-based boutique with a local store in Tivoli Village – my favorite shopping and dining destination in Las Vegas.  Gypsy05 has lots of unique outfits for the boho-style lovers. From apparel to swimwear and accessories, you can expect to see lots of rich colors and patterns with an exceptional quality and fabrics.
