Playing With Texture & Color

Fall is officially here, but fall weather – not quite yet. These are some of the benefits of desert living.

As you can see I’m still in my summer outfits although I can’t wait to rock a pair of OTK boots. For now, I’m playing with texture, color and accessories (as usual). I’ve been looking for the perfect moto jacket since last year, and finally found this one at the end-of-summer Zara sale. The mustard color is great if you are looking to spice up a clean-cut or conservative outfit. Here I have style it with dark colors, so it stands out. This Forever 21 dress has pretty thin straps, but the texture makes it wearable during cooler seasons. I love pairing it with a long sweater or duster. To make the outfit complete, I added a neck scarf – and there you have the typical European look. 🙂

Enjoy!

Styling a Basic T-shirt

When it comes to basics, I recommend investing in a nice pair of jeans and balancing your outfits out with affordable basics. For basic tops I rely on Target, H&M or Forever 21. These are plain tanks, T-shirts, long-sleeve shirts or turtlenecks. There’s no need to splurge on a basic top while you can style it in so many ways. In this post, I am offering a transition-to-fall look paired with a statement scarf that is my go-to accessory for the season.
