Forever 20 Bucks

Summer 2016 is all about tassels, fringe and pom poms – what’s not to love! This outfit is another example of how I style non-expensive items with higher end pieces. These Forever 21 jeans cost less than $18. I love the clean look, and the fringe is so on trend. For this outfit, I am dressing them up with nude pumps and accents such as these Baublebar tassel earrings and handmade colorful clutch from Gypsy 05.

On another note, I finally got the platinum blonde hair color I’ve wanted for so long. It took almost a year to go this light. I’m looking forward to adding some fun pastels into it next time. Special thanks to my talented stylist Amanda, @hairbypinkie.

Summer Fun in Fringe

Kicking off Memorial Day weekend with nice warm weather and some of my favorite sales is a great way to start the summer season! Here is a fun outfit I wore today that is a perfect example of mixing non-expensive clothing pieces with brand name accessories. I often receive questions on how I balance my looks and combine cheap with expensive. I tend to mix old pieces I already have or affordable H&M and Forever21 trendy items with a nice bag or pair of shoes. Also, I never pay full-price for anything, no matter how nice it is or how much I love it. I try to find coupons for my favorite stores or wait for deeper discounts.

Speaking of sales, these RES ripped jeans I purchased back during the winter sales are still available on Nasty Gal. Better yet, the retailer is offering extra 40% off their sale items. Rest assured there are great ones too! The clutch featured below is from a recent sale at Gypsy05, a local boutique at Tivoli Village. Their prices are on the high end, but if you’re looking for unique items and impeccable quality you will find their outfits and accessories worth the splurge.
