When In Doubt…

When in doubt, go with red! I always hear that about lipstick, but why not about an outfit?

I personally am not a huge fan of red although there is something about the color that makes you feel more confident and sexy. I recently found this bell-sleeved shirt at Nordstrom Rack, which is less than $30. At first, I thought it was a little pretentious but now I realize that it’s actually quite wearable. You can style any similar top like this with white pants, skinny jeans, pencil skirt or even over a bodycon dress. I guarantee you will love all of these looks.

Here, I am wearing these Res jeans I got at Nasty Gal last year. They are still available here for only $53 and they fit great. Finally, I am relying on my vintage Ted Baker bag to complete the outfit and voila!

Summer Fun in Fringe

Kicking off Memorial Day weekend with nice warm weather and some of my favorite sales is a great way to start the summer season! Here is a fun outfit I wore today that is a perfect example of mixing non-expensive clothing pieces with brand name accessories. I often receive questions on how I balance my looks and combine cheap with expensive. I tend to mix old pieces I already have or affordable H&M and Forever21 trendy items with a nice bag or pair of shoes. Also, I never pay full-price for anything, no matter how nice it is or how much I love it. I try to find coupons for my favorite stores or wait for deeper discounts.

Speaking of sales, these RES ripped jeans I purchased back during the winter sales are still available on Nasty Gal. Better yet, the retailer is offering extra 40% off their sale items. Rest assured there are great ones too! The clutch featured below is from a recent sale at Gypsy05, a local boutique at Tivoli Village. Their prices are on the high end, but if you’re looking for unique items and impeccable quality you will find their outfits and accessories worth the splurge.

Have a great Memorial Day weekend and happy shopping!

A Non-Traditional Holiday Look

New Years Eve aka the biggest party of the year is only a couple days away! We all want to look perfect and pick a beautiful yet unique outfit. You already know it will be all about sequins and glitter, but if you want something different and non-traditional, keep reading. The look I am featuring here is a bit edgy, but I promise you will definitely turn heads in this dress! Better yet, it won’t break the bank since you’ve already spent plenty on those Christmas gifts.  Did I mention this faux leather dress is under $50? Nasty Gal offers a leather version of it for about $200, also on sale. However, I guarantee that you will be just as happy with the one below. The material is very soft and the fit is perfect! I was pleasantly surprised when I tried it on because for this price I didn’t expect it to be half as perfect as it is. Oh, and please excuse my facial expressions as I had to shoot in freezing temps Vegas weather. 😉
