Summer Chic

Summer is upon us! Dresses are always a great go-to option for a daytime or an evening outfit; however, I like to experiment a bit and get creative with my outfits. Here is a look I put together with mostly old pieces I’ve purchased during previous seasons. Again, just trying to show you that you don’t need to have everything from the latest Nordstrom collection. Luckily, the off-the-shoulder trend is still current, and so are the bermuda shorts. I purchased these at Zara a while back, but currently you can find plenty of them. Fabrics and prints vary, so there’s definitely an abundance of choice. The fit at Zara isn’t perfect, and I would advise you to try pieces on at the store.

I hope you enjoy this outfit as much as I do!

Forever 21 Series – Part I: Blue Hues

When it comes to fashion and style, many think that expensive designer labels in one’s wardrobe are a must for looking trendy. Having a good taste and knowing your style well means that you have an eye for finding items that will fit your wardrobe, and at the same time won’t hurt your wallet! It is all about balance – for instance, you could wear a $5 plain tank top with a pair of affordable-priced jeans, and accent your outfit with designer heels or bag, a nice chunky necklace or piece of jewelry.

In the next few posts, I will feature several outfits with at least one Forever 21 item in each. For those of you who can’t afford designer labels, you will be convinced that it’s not all about the brand! Rest assured that you will be on trend while looking sharp.
