Styling a Vintage Shirt

The vintage shirt – a trend that is perhaps here to stay for a while. I feel late jumping in on this trend, but I finally found a shirt that I love! My husband got this one for me from the Zappos.com gift shop, so unfortunately it’s not available online. When I saw it at first, I loved the design but it was a bit baggy and not flattering at all. Of course, I had to make it my own, and it only took two easy steps. Cutting the sleeves and tying a knot on the back (or the front) and voila.

Here I am styling this vintage shirt with one of my favorite Guess denim skirts. Most of the time I wear it with denim shorts as well for a more casual look.

How do you like to style your vintage tops?

P.S. My younger son, aka my mini me had to get in one of my photos below. He’s excited to start kindergarten tomorrow. ❤

Brunching to Bar Hopping in One Dress

Hi all!

I wanted to share another versatile look I wore this weekend. The title already gave it away, but you can see below how I styled this light cut-out dress from Driven Boutique both ways. For daytime, I paired it with flat mules (scored these in Mexico). I love this trend although I’m quite short, and I don’t find them very flattering. Since it’s summer in Vegas already, I wore a denim vest. If you live somewhere cooler, you can opt for a moto jacket instead.

Heels are a must for my evening looks. The corset trend is new to me – this one comes with the dress already, and it’s velvet! I kept seeing similar corsets online for a while, but I wasn’t sure about this trend until I finally tried it on. It does give you a feminine and sophisticated look, so I have a feeling I’ll be wearing it more this season.

I hope you enjoy both looks. If you’re looking for versatile pieces at affordable prices, you can find tons of cute stuff at Driven Boutique you can wear different ways. I personally love the fact that the store only carries a few sizes of each item, so it makes your outfits pretty unique. I’m working on more day to night stories, so stay tuned!

Cheers to a productive week ahead! ❤

Sporty Summer Look With AMI Clubwear

Hello world!

I just got back from Cancun, but obviously I’m still in vacation mode. I have explored Mexico quite a bit, but this was my first time visiting the East coastline. You can get a glimpse of some of my adventures on Instagram.

Whether you are planning to go on an exotic beach getaway, rocking at a music festival in the desert or simply heading to a quick staycation, you need the 411 on swimwear. Here I opted for a sporty look featuring this AMI Clubwear two piece bikini. The tribal print and the colors are super fun, especially once you get a nice tan going (not like my sunburn in the photos – #fail!). The double straps on the top are adjustable, so you can wear it as loose or tight as you wish. What I love the most about this swim piece is that you can simply pair it with shorts, a couple classic accessories and you are ready to hit the pool party!

For those of you who prefer a more feminine and sophisticated look, opt for a kimono or similar sheer cover-up. You might also like my beach glam look featuring a one-piece swimsuit from AMI Clubwear. If you can’t decide which one you love more, you can get both for less than $50! Better yet, you can use code SWIM60 for 60% off currently on the website.

Vamos a la playa!

April Wine Walk at Red Rock

Happy Easter, everyone! 🐰

As a family that doesn’t follow all the usual traditions, we skipped the holiday brunch today, but we did enjoy a fun event this Easter weekend. My husband and I had a great date night at the April Wine Walk at Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa last night. All you can drink wine at nine different stations throughout the resort ranging from white to red to rose and champagne, say whaaat!

Our first stop was at Hearthstone – one of my favorite restaurants at Red Rock Casino. The food is amazing, but can we talk best Instagram photo opps?

Another favorite of mine, Salute Trattoria Italiana served a large selection of Pacific Northwest wines. It’s our go-to dessert spot and here’s a tip – get the sampler and try a little bit of everything.

Finally, after a few more glasses, we headed to the pool area for a private DJ party where we had, well more wine! I couldn’t believe how perfect the weather was after so many windy days in Vegas lately. The Red Rock Pool is a great place to enjoy good company, some food and sips. If you can’t make it to the pool, I highly recommend the T Bones patio.

Wait, I almost forgot to share the details about my outfit! I was debating wearing a dress, but I decided on this flirty bodysuit from Tobi.com. The cold shoulder is just perfect for the season and our weather here. I love the color – it goes with everything, and the style makes it such a versatile piece. I can’t wait to pair it with a skirt for another night out. It is available here for less than $50 along with many other cute bodysuits on Tobi.com you can choose from.

How was your Easter weekend? I’m ready to wind down and start a new week tomorrow.

Beach Glam With AMI Clubwear

Spring break is almost here, and I sure am looking forward to our Cancun vacay! I have been to Mexico several times, but it will be a first to this destination. I am excited to go somewhere warm and relax on the beach for days.

Regardless of your vacation destination, you will want to pack some fun pieces in your suitcase. I have been looking for the perfect swimsuit for a while, and finally found it! Being a mom, I rely a lot on the one-piece styles, but I still want to look cute. I have been obsessed with the tropical floral prints this year, and this AMI Clubwear swimsuit is just gorgeous! The best part is you can get it here for only $25. Now, that’s a steal!

The fit is very elegant, and paired with this long duster creates a nice silhouette. If you’re looking for a more stylish and glam look, this is a great option.

If you are into the sporty and casual look, stay tuned… I will be featuring another option for those of you. However, rocking both looks depending on your mood is the way to go!

Have a great weekend. ❤

From Dayclub to Happy Hour With Tobi.com

Anyone getting ready for a spring break beachy vacay? Or perhaps your next Vegas trip with the girls? No matter where you are headed to, packing can be daunting, especially if you’re going to a new place. If you are like me and you like to travel light instead of overpacking, keep reading!

I’ve always been a huge fan of items that I can wear multiple ways. Here I’m wearing this cute cold shoulder shift dress from Tobi.com that I can easily turn from a summer cover-up to a night-time outfit. The cotton material isn’t pretentious, so it’s easy to wear with pretty much any accessories or shoes you like. The color is neutral, which makes the dress very versatile. Last but not least, the cold shoulder gives you that sexy/flirty look that you need either for the beach or a night out! Whether you throw in a scarf, hat or a belt, you can give it a unique look. You can get it here for under $30 along with other great items for your vacation.

Tobi.com has pretty bodysuits as well. I can’t wait to show you the other outfits that I got. Stay tuned for more summer looks…

Until next time! ❤

Velvet and Pleats

I’ve always loved the vintage vibe pleated skirts have. They look so chic if only they fit right! Being so short, I’ve never been able to find a pleated skirt that creates a flattering silhouette on my frame. That’s why when I found these pleated pants at Bershka in Mexico City, I immediately fell in love. Not to mention the rich color and gorgeous fabric. At first, I thought they would be hard to style, but once I got them in my closet I realized that they can be worn in so many ways.  I would love to wear them to a night out paired with my favorite Ted Baker stilettos and a nice blouse. For a day at the office, a white button-down and a pair of squared heel pumps will do. The possibilities are endless…

What is the one statement piece you love wearing lately?
